Cortlandt is located in the Hudson River TownsThe Town of Cortlandt is residential in nature and includes the Villages of Croton-on-Hudson and Buchanan and several hamlets: Verplanck, Montrose, Crugers, Crompond, Mohegan Lake, Toddville and VanCortlandtville. Notable attractions are the Route 6 commercial corridor and abundant recreational open spaces.

Cortlandt has:

  • A total of 34.5 square miles
  • 15 miles of Hudson River shoreline with access to the river from Cortlandt Waterfront Park unencumbered by railroad lines
  • Route 6 commercial corridor including the Cortlandt Town Center shopping center
  • Expanded and enhanced Cortlandt Train Station - and only one hour to midtown Manhattan
  • Serviced by both Metro North (Cortlandt and Croton-Harmon stations) and Amtrak (Croton-Harmon)
