Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park

Lasdon Park and Arboretum

A 234-acre park and arboretum with trees, plants, shrubs and stunning one-acre entrance garden. Horticultural workshps, art classes and shows and concerts. Open year-round 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Untermeyer Park and Gardens

Grecian gardens landscaped in the Beaux Arts style. Temple overlooks mosaic pool, sculptures and Greek amphitheater. Views of Hudson River and the Palisades. Open year-round dawn-dusk.

Teatown Lake Reservation

Teatown manages a 1,000 acre preserve with 15 miles of hiking trails and offers environmental education programs to more than 20,000 children and adults each year.  The Nature Center and nearby Raptor Loop Trail have birds of prey and animal displays, programs and events. Open Sunday-Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Hiking trails open daily dawn to dusk.

Nearly 5,000 acres with hiking and horsebackriding trails. Trailside Nature Museum offers natural history and Native American exhibits, bird walks and other special nature events.
