Head to Sleepy Hollow
The Headless Horseman shares his favorite spooky spots to ride around town. This famous fictional phantom - who made his literary debut in Washington Irving's 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' in 1820 - was kind enough to contribute his itinerary, which thankfully does not include chasing down local schoolteachers. It does sport a variety of places and activities centered on Sleepy Hollow, with a certain fondness for Jack O’ Lanterns and equestrian activities.
A Westchester resident for over 229 years, the Headless Horseman proudly resides in Sleepy Hollow, NY. A native of the German state of Hesse, he did a stint in service of the UK's King George III before becoming a legendary part of this area's ghostly folklore.
