Northern Westchester
Northern Westchester is the county’s rural gem, with miles of open spaces; trails for hiking, biking and exploring; lakes, streams and rivers; excellent farm to table restaurants and boutique shopping. A great location for an active outdoor getaway, it is home to the 4,315-acre Ward Pound Ridge Reservation and a portion of the North County Trail.
Northern Westchester also features plenty of other recreational activities, such as Lewisboro’s golf courses and North Salem’s horse farms, and is the perfect setting for a peaceful country stroll along quiet roads and through lovely historic towns, such as Katonah with stylish boutiques and specialty stores. This “up county” locale is also home to sophisticated towns with a cosmopolitan feel, including Mount Kisco, with unique shopping, fine dining and attractions.
Northern Westchester includes eight municipalities:

- Lewisboro (South Salem, Cross River, Goldens Bridge, Waccabuc, Vista)
