Unconventional Event Spaces Inspire Out-of-the-Box Thinking
Westchester abounds in distinctive spaces for out-of-the-ordinary meetings, retreats and outings.
All the world’s a stage, so take a page from Shakespeare and book one of Westchester’s world-class, historic performance venues for your next meeting. Westchester’s oldest theater, the 843-seat Tarrytown Music Hall, one of the finest examples of Queen Anne-style brickwork, has been beautifully restored and updated with solar power and can be booked for corporate functions.
Echoes of the 1920s silver screen and 1960s counterculture both resound through the hallowed halls of the Capitol Theatre, revived as a live music venue and event space in 2011. Two more dramatic choices: The 1930s Paramount Hudson Valley Theater and The Picture House, one of the few surviving—and still operating— single-screen theaters.
Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts hosts private events in the Venetian Theater, Sunken Garden, Music Room and Spanish Courtyard.
Inspire small groups (20 and under) with a tour of the one-of-a-kind Armour-Stiner Octagon House or hold a harvest dance in Faraway Farm Alpacas’ antique barn. Executive retreats are a natural at the holistic-focused, chateau-style Wainwright House.
